Seven Pixels

A Series of Portraits

Seven Pixels is a drawing project that scratches an itch using two of my favorite tools—Adobe Illustrator and Scalable Vector Graphics.

Constraints

All of the drawings were created with one basic premise: marks have a basis or starting point of a seven pixel stroke. Shapes are expanded and manipulated but the digital starting point is a seven pixel stroke. Hopefully the result is decidedly digital.

This will be an ongoing series done in sets of four, the first two being candidates from the 2016 presidential election and characters from the 1979 remake of Nosferatu. The aesthetics of this site draw heavy inspiration from Harold and the Purple Crayon and Constructicons.
